Mega-2014_Transect-30k.jpg
From the Rena Shipwreck
Rena debris field mega transect made up of three transects. Photographed on the 24th of July 2014.
The transects are essentially aerial views of the seabed, the distance above the bottom was set at 4m with a line and lead weight, and followed a compass course, the compass being fixed to the camera to help keep the camera always pointing in the right direction.
The photography was done with a Nikon D800 in a Nauticam underwater housing with a 20mm lens.
