A welcoming sight, seeing the rainboow over Arid island. The trip around to the east side was a little hairy around the Needles, despite timing the run with the tide and wind, the waves around the top of the needles were large and steep, the RIB nearly capsized a couple of times as we and the RIB surfed down the steep waves. No pictures, was to busy with keeping things under control. The winds peaked at 55 knots, when trying to take down the mainsail in the calmer waters in the lee of Great Barrier island. Managed to get the sail down altho the wind and the main boom and folded up sail was furiously trying to chuck me into the sea.
