Symes hut on Fanthams Peak at night.

A view looking west of Symes hut on Fanthams Peak, more than an hour after sunset, there was a strong red glow in the sky, with a planet setting and a quarter moon hanging over Mt Taranaki. Absoutely magical, altho very cold, well worth the hike up. Used a Nikon D800 with Sigma 20mm f1.4 art lens. Exposure f4 @ 30 secs, ISO 800. Panorama stitch of 6 x images.
